We were delighted to receive a referral from an existing client, granting us the opportunity to pitch to a potential major new customer who was already working with toolmakers worldwide.
This company was looking for a reliable, collaborative toolmaker and moulding specialist who could understand their business requirements and ways of working, with a new project lined up which would involve the manufacture of several new tools.
We were selected for this project due to the recommendation of our existing client and our proven track record of success on similar projects. The client was insistent on using an ISO9001:2008 UKAS-approved business, and stressed the importance of hitting a tight timescale – both areas where we had already proven ourselves to our existing client.
The project consisted of the manufacture of six new tools, with moulding required for 14 components on a regular, short-run basis. These components were complex in nature and would require short lead times.
The companies of the Knight Group were able to put together the above on a competitive cost basis, offering support on technical and design issues throughout the process.
Our solution was put together within extremely tight deadline and were supplying mouldings directly overseas within a matter of weeks. The new customer has since placed further tooling orders with Knight.
